Chicha in the Sacred Valley of Peru

Experience Chicha in our Unique Tour of the Sacred Valley of Peru

Chicha is a type of beer that's been brewed in regions of South America for at least 1,000 years and perfected to the alcoholic beverage brewed today by the Incans of Cuzco, Peru. In our unique and informative tour you'll learn everything there is to know about Chicha while tasting in the best chicherías that the Sacred Valley has to offer. Itinerary

Our tour starts in Cuzco and ends in Ollantaytambo (or the other way around if you prefer), with stops at chicherías in Chinchero, Urubamba, and the Descanso in Yanahuara. Transportation, Lunch, Water, Snacks and, of course, Chicha are all included in the price of the tour.

We got two basic types of tours for ya — half day (~4 hours) and full day (~6-7 hours). Both tours involve tasting in chicherías throughout Cuzco and the Sacred Valley, while the full day involves a bonus tour of:

  • The ruins and church of Chinchero plus beautiful and pleasant, all-downhill hike to the Sacred Valley
  • The Ruins of Ollantaytambo
  • Hike to Puma Marca, the ruins of an Incan military encampment above Ollantaytambo
  • Numerous other hikes around Ollantaytambo and Cuzco
  • Pub Crawl in Ollantaytambo or Cuzco
  • Anything else your heart could desire

We are delightfully flexible in our itinerary as well, so just contact us with any questions or special requests.

Why We're Awesome

Our tour guides are classically trained in the art of making sure that you have an awesome time. Years of tourism experience as well as specialized meditation retreats to our secret Tour Guide Training Centers in remote sections of the Andes have endowed our guides with an almost paranormal ability to adapt the tour to the specific personality of the group. They are also unbelievably good-looking.

All our guides are required to have made Chicha at least once and to pass a test about the history of Chicha and the Incan empire. For our english-speaking guests, we provide native english speaking guides. You won't find better qualified guides in Peru, or perhaps even the world.
